In Righteousness and Justice: Journeying with Jesus through Lent
A Lent reflection on justice and righteousness as themes woven throughout the Passion narratives
In this collection of readings and reflections for Lent, Sharon Prentis views Jesus’ journey to the cross through a lens of biblical righteousness and justice, asking: How can we be shaped by his example? What lessons can we learn from his approach? As we examine how Jesus related to all kinds of people and the transformative actions he took to bring about justice and righteousness in their lives consistent with the kingdom of God, may we discover how Christ’s love can motivate us to pursue sacrificial love to bring about the liberation of ourselves and others.
