How would you describe February?

How would you describe February?

I searched for some words to describe February, and found these: changeable, short-lived, sad, tempestuous, icy, dangerous, rainy, raw, grey and bitter... there wasn't much that was positive! How would you describe February?

Well, I'd say it's a month of new beginnings. Spring flowers, occasional blue skies and sunshine, and here at BRF a couple of really exciting new projects coming to fruition.

The Easter Story is a small but perfectly formed book for families to read together. Ten readings and reflections focus on Jesus's last days, and there are questions, visual aids and prayer ideas to encourage discussion and sharing. Generous funding support has enabled us to make a number of copies freely available to Messy Churches and other church partners, and we're hoping churches will really get behind this as a gift to families in need of encouragement and ideas this Easter as we continue to be very much 'at home'. Families can also buy their copies direct.

Another fantastic resource for parents is Babies and Toddlers by Rachel Turner. We've seen such an acute need for and response to Parenting for Faith's ministry in the past year, and this book is written for new parents taking their first steps in thinking about how to share faith with their little ones. It's short and skimmable for the sleep-deprived, and makes a great baptism gift too!

With every blessing as we move onward to spring,
Olivia
