Upper Room Writers' Day

The Upper Room has a worldwide readership of some three million, and is unique in that all the meditations are written by readers of The Upper Room, who seek to share the insights of their faith with others, thus providing a personal take on each passage and a different style each day.

Calling all readers of The Upper Room! Would you like to learn how to write a good daily reading meditation? Susan Hibbins, who edits the UK edition of The Upper Room, is on the lookout for new writers to contribute to the UK edition. Interested?

A training day is being arranged for 17 July 2012. The day will cover:

  1. The opportunity to learn more about The Upper Room, its history and worldwide outreach
  2. Writing The Upper Room meditations: the why and the how
  3. Fun exercises and a chance to try writing a meditation
  4. Improving writing skills: write the best meditation you can
  5. Using our senses in our writing
