This is a book which should resonate with all dads, especially those with young children. What I like about it is that it is very much a man's book , although it can still be read and enjoyed by women. It is about one man's reflections on God - especially God as our father.
What also appeals to me is the author's honesty and his avoidance of cliche-ridden answers to questions posed. Brad Lincoln takes the fruit of the Spirit. He explores these as he examines his relationship with God and links this to his relationship with his own children.
It is the kind of book which lends itself to reading a chapter a night before going to sleep. That way you're bound to have read it through in about ten days.
It contains lots of practical advice as it explores what it means to be a dad. At the end there are some handy questions on each chapter which can be tackled individually or in a group.
I recommend you read it, reflect on God's fatherly care for you and let it help you to be as good a dad as you can be to the children your heavenly dad has been pleased to bless you with.
