Reviews
From The Church Times August 2009
For each of the 40 Days with Paul, Henry Wansbrough has chosen a Pauline text (using the New Jerusalem translation) and written a reflection. The relevant biblical texts are printed in the book. There is a suggestion that it might be used during Lent; an appendix gives reflections on six lectionary readings (Roman Catholic ones) for Lenten Sundays.
From The Good Bookstall website, March 2009
This book is not just for Lent. It has been written with The year of Paul in mind; this runs from 29th June 2008 - 29th June 2009, but the book will be one to read and re-read for much longer than that. Henry Wansbrough OSB, a monk at Ampleforth Abbey, has taken excerpts from many of St Paul's writings and brought them together in this small paperback, and has added his thoughts on each passage and a brief prayer to finish. I found this compilation very useful. Many of the passages are familiar, but usually read seperately. To have them put together in this way enables a greater understanding of Paul's teaching. Highly recommended.
