'My heart's desire is that this book could become a place where you can encounter our wonderful, beautiful, untameable, passionate, loving God and hear him speak directly to you in whatever circumstance you find yourself in.'
Writer and artist Ellie Hart has created a series of 'postcards from heaven' - her own paintings linked to short, thought-provoking reflections, to help all who long to hear more clearly from God, especially when going through seasons of change and uncertainty.
Ellie lives in Nicosia, Cyprus where her husband works for SAT-7, a Christian TV network serving the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey. She blogs at postcardsfromheaven.co.ukView items in similar categories

Reflections: Diocese of Hereford Winter 2016
This little book is inspired by the different seasons of our lives, how we travel from one to the next and how we cope with the spaces in-between. Being in such a space myself, I found it difficult to write an impartial review but then, what draws us towards any book but that it speaks to us directly?
The 'postcards' each combine a small painting with a reflection on the item illustrated, exploring what it can teach us about the transitions in our lives. There are suggestions to help you reflect further but the reader can choose to just ponder in their own way. The postcards are a delight, offering something to uplift the spirits and encourage the reader in the certainty that a new season will be found if we listen to God and allow ourselves the grace to be guided. There is nothing deeply theological here but the reflections are no less worthy for that, relating thoughtfully to the changes we all meet from time to time.
As someone who has come to the end of a beloved season of ministry and is waiting to discover the next step, I found this an inspiring collection to dip into in quiet moments and, if you are in a similar position, in whatever chapter of life, I recommend it.
